The Law Office of Attorney Edward R. Shaw offers free, no obligation phone or in-person consultations and affordable flat fees for many of the services offered.

Divorce or Family Services:

Cost of divorce varies greatly depending upon many factors including:

• Amount and complexity of assets and property to divide
• Level of disagreement in debt or property division
• Whether children are involved
• Level of disagreement on custody arrangement and child support obligations
• Level of disagreement on other issues

Some divorce and custody cases can be handled on a flat fee basis. If both parties agree on how assets, property, and parenting will be handled, this is an “uncontested” divorce. Uncontested divorces start at $800.

Criminal and Traffic:
Criminal and traffic cases can often be handled with a pre-arranged flat fee. Fee level depends on the complexity of the case and the severity of the charge.

Flat fees start as low as $1,000 for some misdemeanors.

Bankruptcy:
At the Law Office of Attorney Edward R. Shaw, Chapter 7 attorney’s fees are $1,593.00, and the court filing fee is $306.00. Total cost is $1,899.00. In some cases of extreme hardship the cost may be as low as $1,506.00, including attorney fees and the court filing fee.

Chapter 13 attorney’s fees are $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 and the court filing fee is $281.00. Total cost is $2,781.00 to $3,281.00.

A small number of very complex bankruptcy cases may cost more. If your case will be one of these, you will know before work begins.

Other Legal services
Many other matters can often be handled with a prearranged flat fee. For all non-flat fee pricing, Attorney Edward R. Shaw’s hourly rate is $190 and Associate Attorney Anna M. Yakle’s hourly rate is $160.
